Today’s episode is a special one — a rare opportunity to sit down with a couple whose lives span a century of history, love, adventure, and service.
William “Henry” Martell has worn many hats in his 100 years — soldier, hotel publican, cocoa planter, university lecturer, and proud grandfather. Born in 1924 in Haberfield, Sydney, Henry’s life has taken him from the beaches of Manly to the jungles of Bougainville during World War II, to the rolling hills of Devon where he and his wife Diana ran a 17th-century pub. He helped build the foundations of La Trobe University as a lecturer in Asian history, and more recently, he and Diana have settled into the Carinity Brookfield Green aged care community in Brisbane — just metres from where they lived for nearly three decades.
Together, Henry and Diana have built a rich life — one filled with stories of wartime resilience, academic curiosity, and deep connection to family and community. They share four children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren — and, remarkably, their birthdays are just one day apart.

In this episode, we dive into the ongoing debate between supplements and daily habits, reflecting on how our personal philosophies influence our health choices. We recognize that many of us have been influenced by the messaging of the supplement industry, thinking that taking a daily multivitamin would solve everything. But as we discuss, it’s not about sticking rigidly to one supplement or one routine—life calls for flexibility.
We share how we’ve each recently started taking supplements daily, not as a one-size-fits-all solution, but to help fill in the gaps where our lifestyles or diets might fall short, or where daily stressors crop up. At the same time, just because we’re taking certain supplements—like vitamin C, zinc, or magnesium at different times—doesn’t mean we’ve closed ourselves off to making new choices as our lives and needs change.
We also make it clear that supplements are never a replacement for the fundamentals: good nutrition, movement, purpose, connection, and balance in the other areas of life. We reflect on past experiences where, despite people doing “everything right” in terms of nutrition or supplementing, they still got sick and questioned why. It led us to acknowledge that health is never just about one element—it’s always a combination of factors, and sometimes, even the healthiest people experience symptoms and illness.

Welcome to a brand-new era of 100 Not Out! In this episode, Marcus & Damo are together in Melbourne and joined by Moreece Elcham, founder of First or Northing.
This ep kicks off an exciting new partnership—and it’s one that’s been a long time in the making. For over 12 years, Marcus and Damian have carefully navigated the crowded world of supplements and longevity, often skeptical of yet another “miracle” product or brand. But today marks a turning point.
Moreece Elcham’s journey began five or six years ago with a personal struggle through persistent and often painful gut health issues. Frustrated by a revolving door of diagnoses—ranging from leaky gut and Crohn’s to stomach ulcers—Moreece tried everything from extreme diets to extensive medical procedures in search of relief. Throughout this exhausting process, he learned more about his own body, nutrition, and supplementation, with guidance from various health experts. Moreece’s determination to not just heal, but to create a solution, led to the founding of First or Nothing.

100NO 630: The One Way To Age Gracefully
Monday Apr 28, 2025
Monday Apr 28, 2025
On this episode we kick things off with a (hopefully) humorous and relatable story about early morning flights, canceled plans, and the realities of travel. As we reminisce about our recent Melbourne meetup, the conversation quickly turns to a deeper theme: the many different paths we can take in life and longevity.
Marcus uses his airport ordeal as a metaphor to explore the idea that there’s never just one "right" way to approach health, aging, or even navigating a city. Drawing on the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner and the wisdom of diverse perspectives, we discuss the importance of staying open-minded and resisting the pressure to find that single, elusive miracle solution to living well.
With plenty of laughs, insights, and honest reflections, this episode reminds us that—whether it’s finding your way in Melbourne or on the journey of life—there are countless routes to success and fulfillment. Get ready for an entertaining and thought-provoking conversation about flexibility, diversity of perspectives, and the art of doing life your own way.

Monday Apr 21, 2025
Monday Apr 21, 2025
In today’s discussion, inspired by a provocative Instagram post from Dave Asprey, the duo explores the peculiar claim linking frequency of male ejaculation to health and longevity. As they dissect the math and the motivations behind these claims, Marcus and Dr. Damien grapple with the broader implications: Are social media and the digital world leading us astray with confusing and clickbait longevity advice? Tune in as they unravel these ideas, sharing insights and laughs while encouraging listeners to critically assess the content they consume in the pursuit of a vibrant long life.
So many questions for us to consider on this topic –
What are your thoughts on Dave Asprey’s claims about orgasms and longevity? Do you find his formula credible or problematic?
How do you feel about the focus on physical attributes and sexual health as markers for longevity, particularly for men?
How does social media influence our perceptions of health, wellness, and longevity, according to Marcus and Damo’s discussion?
In the conversation, the hosts express skepticism towards unregulated health advice on social media. How do you determine credible health information online?
What are your views on the comparison of the anti-aging markets for men and women discussed in the episode?
